My Little Box: Bringing the 'Cosy' Back to Winter (and my faith in boxes)

I have made no secret of my ambivalence towards boxes of late.  I was in fact, entirely ready to give up on them all, until I discovered the My Little Box company.

French in origin, the box launched recently to the UK and the difference is quite simply astounding.  Every touchpoint, from the website to the marketing of this brand is stylish, slick and with an attention to detail that is, for visual people like myself, simply breathtaking.

Take this months box.  Each box has it's own identity (which unlike other un-named brands it sticks too) and this months was 'cosy'.  And cosy is EXACTLY what you get.

You open a beautiful box, to find a gorgeous illustrated print worthy of any wall on heavy weight card.  Beneath that a fabulously well shot (they seriously invest in photography) magazine that you actually want to read. And that is before you dig into the goodies.

My Little Box is a lifestyle and beauty box, so each month you get gifts related to things other then beauty. This month was the cutest little bean bag hand-warmer I have ever seen and an espresso sized mug so quirky and attractive, if it wasn't for a serious devotion to hot chocolate I would not be able to bring myself to use it.

But you still aren't there.  In a quality, cotton drawstring bag come the real goodies.  This month a full size mascara, from the brands extremely wearable own line.  A full size eyeshadow from Yves Rocher, worth £13.20, offering a rich smokey hue and fantastic payoff.  The prezzies finally end with a waterproof liner from French brand Arancil, worth £5.50.

Verdict:

The difference in this box isnt just the quality of the contents or the attention to detail, as wonderful as those things are.  At thirty-two years old I was literally squealing with delight pulling out each lovely element. This box does that most rare of things:  It actually lives up the excitment and more then meets expectations.

A real gift and definitely a cuddly, snuggly night in.....in a box!
